B.Ed

Teachers are the most important and responsible associates of the society who makes the children a successful person in life. Teacher leads communities and nation towards better and higher quality of life by integration and empowerment.

They help in research and create leader, scientist, entrepreneur for the nation and help in economic development of nation. So it becomes imperative to allocate necessary professional inputs to create proficient and skilled teachers.

For this SDIER has pursued B.Ed Programme for women candidates with pre-service teacher training and placement assistance.


The trainees are encouraged to adapt an environment that adds value and technology based society.

Objectives of B.Ed programme

  1. To develop an understanding about education in contemporary India among students .
  2. To create high professionalism in teacher trainees during the Programme.
  3. To inspirit creative thinking and hard work.
  4. To foster the role of language in classroom while teaching-learning process
  5. To cultivate moralistic and social character values of trainees.
  6. To make competent to apply ICT in facilitating teaching-learning process
  7. To inculcate positive Attitude , self confidence and kindness.
  8. To provide hands on experience of all school activities through engaging student .
  9. To overcome gender inequalities in the classroom
  10. To promote innovative strategies for teaching methods during training period.

DURATION AND INTAKE

  • The duration of the course leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) shall be of two academic years which can be completed in a maximum of three years from the date of admission to the programme.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

  • The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme is offered in English and Hindi both .

ELIGIBILITY

  • Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor Degree and /or in the Master's Degree or any other Qualification recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the program
  • 47.5% marks for SC/ST candidates of Haryana State only
  • 47.5% marks for Blind /Persons with Disabilities and visually/Hearing Impaired candidates
  • In case a candidate has passed the Master Degree Exam also after Bachelor Degree, the higher percentage of marks obtained in either of the two will be taken into consideration while preparing the merit
  • Compartmental candidates will not be allowed admission in B.Ed. (Regular Course) in any case.

Entrance Test

  • SDIER conducts no test for admission procedure. Seats are offered on the basis of marks at Graduation/ Post Graduation level.
